As I walked to my flower bed that sets down by the road, I saw the cutest little four petal flowers covering a large portion of my yard. I don’t remember these being here in the past. I don’t remember seeing this small flower before, which is strange because I know many cool season flowers/weeds, but do not recall this one.
No matter their name, these friendly little flowers made my day and so I thought I would share them with you, too!

There are some people in my neighborhood who have those as ground cover on the hill between their actual yard and the sidewalk. They cover the whole hill. I don’t know what they are called, but they are cheerful and colorful and it makes my heart happy to see them. I don’t think they have bloomed yet this year though.

These do look like a ground cover. They are just so unexpected in location. Sometimes I am thankful I don’t have a perfectly manicured yard. My flowerbeds are always in order, but we have a hard time getting actual grass to go on our very rocky terrain. These are much prettier than grass!

I quickly looked it up but maybe Campanula? I don’t know. But they look very cute. They look like little stars in the sky.

They remind me of the Glory-of-the-Snow (Chionodoxa) that are blooming in my flower bed and in my yard. But my flowers have 6 petals on them. Whatever your flowers are, they are certainly pretty! 🙂 ~JudyK
